Alina Prescornita incorporates a background in yoga and Pilates to enhance her strong manual therapy skills, providing a comprehensive treatment approach when working with her patients. Her goal with each patient is to teach them how to overcome the obstacles that are getting in their way. During physical therapy treatment, she emphasizes proper body mechanics, postural body control, and rehabilitation exercises. She practices a hands-on approach and is experienced in optimizing patients’ recovery and performance through the use of trigger point release and Kinesio taping techniques.
Alina received a full merit scholarship for a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Bacau in Romania, where she studied kinesiology, biomechanics, and applied health sciences. She is licensed Physical Therapist in the state of New York. She also received her Pilates Comprehensive Mat Certification at the Kane School and is currently completing her Pilates Equipment Training Certification through a rigorous training program in New York City consisting of approximately 500 hours.
Alina treats a variety of conditions that include pre/post-operative rehab, repetitive stress injuries and sports related injuries. She also enjoys long distance cycling, hiking with friends, long walks in the nature, and photography.
